Configure user roles and permissions for your Lang.ai app

Note: These steps require Snowflake admin privileges. Only account administrators can perform these actions.

This guide walks you through the process of configuring user access for the Lang.ai application in Snowflake. As an administrator, you'll need to complete these three steps to set up access for your users.

Step 1: Create a New Role

  1. Log in to Snowflake with your admin account

  2. Navigate to Admin > Users & Roles in your Snowflake interface

  3. Click the + Role button to create a new role

  4. Enter the role details

Step 2: Connect Role to the Lang.ai Application

  1. Go to Data Products > Apps

  2. Locate and click on the Lang.ai installed application

  3. Click on Manage Access

  4. Select the role you created in Step 1

After completing this step, you should see a confirmation that the role has been granted access to the application:

Step 3: Add Users to the Role

  1. Navigate to Admin > Users & Roles

  2. Click on your newly created role

  3. Select Grant to User

  4. Add the desired users to the role

Accessing the Application

For end users

Once an administrator has completed the setup above, users can access Lang.ai by:

  1. Navigating to Data Products > Apps

  2. Clicking on the Lang.ai application

  3. Selecting Launch app
