The definition and permissions for each Lang.ai user role

Updated over 2 years ago

Lang.ai has four user roles that can be applied to each user on the account. The following available user roles are:

  1. Admin

  2. Member

  3. Builder

  4. Viewer

Admin

The Admin role allows the user to have full ownership over the account. Users with this role can modify and create new projects and change user roles.

Member

The Member role allows the user to have limited ownership over the account. Users with this role can modify and create new projects in Lang but they cannot update or change user roles. This empowers the user to have some control over the account but limited control over the users.

Builder

The Builder role allows the user to create tags, dashboards, and reports in the Lang.ai platform. Users with this role can build tags in existing projects but they cannot modify live projects or create new ones. This empowers the user to build in Lang while also giving the Admin control over the live projects.

Viewer

The Viewer role allows the user to access key data and insights from the Lang.ai platform. Users with this role can view reports and queries in Lang but they cannot create new reports or modify existing ones. This empowers the user to search in Lang since they can filter the query by a specific metadata or date range.

FAQs
